AEW Dynamite & NXT January 27 Viewership Revealed

AEW Dynamite and NXT both carried on this week as the shows build towards their next big events. What is slightly surprising is the two shows almost tied in overall viewership this week.

According to Showbuzz Daily, All Elite Wrestling garnered 734,000 average viewers. Meanwhile, NXT managed to draw 720,000 average viewers. In the key male 18-49 demographic, Dynamite drew a 0.40 rating while NXT drew a 0.23 rating.

The viewership for AEW was down significantly from last week. Last week’s episode garnered 857,000 average viewers, 123,000 viewers more than this week. NXT, on the other hand, was up 61,000 average viewers, up from their 659,000 average viewers from last week.

It has been theorized that the TNT outage last night may have caused AEW’s dip in viewership.

Dynamite featured an excellent match between Jungle Boy and Dax Harwood, a match that has been called the biggest of Jungle Boy’s career. The Young Bucks and The Good Brothers also managed to defeat The Dark Order in the main event.

On NXT, they continued with their Dusty Rhodes Classic tournaments. Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez defeated Aliyah and Jessi Kamea, MSK topped Killian Dain, and the Grizzled Young Veterans beat KUSHIDA and Leon Ruff.
