A former AEW star has discussed Roderick Strong coming to the company.
On the April 26 edition of AEW Dynamite, Roderick Strong made his shocking debut to make the save for Adam Cole against the Jericho Appreciation Society.
This debut has led many to believe that a possible Undisputed Era reunion could be in the cards when Kyle O’Reilly is healthy enough to come back from neck surgery.
Speaking with Nick Hausman of Haus of Wrestling, former AEW star Bobby Fish gave his thoughts on Strong coming to the company. He said:
“I will just say this. I’m just happy to see my boys at work. These are, and have always been, legitimate, close friends of mine. I think that’s why the Undisputed Era worked the way that it did in NXT because there was no fabrication to it.”
“We were four guys who were tight and what you saw play out on screen was four dudes who had each other’s back, and that was marketable because it was real.”
“I’m just happy to see two of my best friends back at work, with jobs, and able to support their families. This is real life stuff in this fictional world of pro wrestling. There’s real people here with real wives, real kids, real homes, real dogs, real bills.”
Roderick Strong is set to face Chris Jericho in a Falls Count Anywhere Match with Adam Cole and the J.A.S. banned from the building on the May 17 episode of AEW Dynamite.
