Cody Rhodes Reacts To Old High School Amateur Wrestling Footage

Cody Rhodes Reacts To Old High School Amateur Wrestling Footage WWE, Stephen Jensen @FightTalk

Cody Rhodes has reacted to old footage from his time competing in amateur wrestling in high school.

With The American Nightmare on the verge of main eventing his second-straight WrestleMania in just four weeks time, resurfaced footage of Rhodes’ amateur wrestling days have shared a glimpse at where his long path to the top began.

Shared by Fightful’s Stephen Jensen on Twitter, the old footage shows a baby-faced Rhodes winning a wrestling tournament in his junior year of high school.

This then caught the attention of the 2024 Royal Rumble winner, who reacted to it on Twitter with surprise – not at seeing the footage alone, but the fact that he actually won the tournament whatsoever.

Rhodes said:

Surprised I won this, my shots were way outside

You can check out the footage for yourself down below.

Rhodes is set for the biggest weekend of his career in just four weeks time when he competes at both WrestleMania 40 Night One and Night Two.

On Night One (April 6), in a match that was made official on SmackDown, Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins compete against The Bloodline’s two-man power trip of The Rock and Roman Reigns.

Then on Night Two (April 7) Rhodes looks to finally ‘Finish The Story’ when he faces Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
