There has been a major Roman Reigns update on tonight’s WWE SmackDown even before the first 2024 WWE Draft pick is made.
After the ‘war rooms’ were shown, featuring SmackDown GM Nick Aldis and Raw GM Adam Pearce taking advice from the likes of JBL and Teddy Long, an announcement from Paul Heyman.
In a backstage interview segment with Kayla Braxton, Paul Heyman revealed Roman Reigns’ 2024 WWE Draft status.
Per Heyman, Roman Reigns has voluntarily removed himself from eligibility to be drafted in the 2024 draft.
Heyman also made note that Roman Reigns would continue a period of absence, hence his withdrawal.

Elsewhere on tonight’s SmackDown, the 2024 WWE Draft is set to begin but first there was a contract signing segment.
Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles had an in-ring contract signing moderated by Corey Graves.
Cody Rhodes will defend his WWE Undisputed Championship against AJ Styles in a first-time ever match at Backlash in Lyon, France this Saturday, May 4.
