WWE has officially announced that Drew McIntyre will face Jinder Mahal at SummerSlam next Saturday, on August 21.
Mahal and McIntyre’s rivalry reached breaking point when the Maharaja attacked McIntyre at Money in the Bank last month, removing him from the ladder match.
In the weeks since, McIntyre has clashed with Mahal and his new teammates, Veer & Shanky. On Raw next week, McIntyre will do battle with Veer & Shanky in a handicap match. If McIntyre wins, the duo will be banned from ringside at SummerSlam.
John Cena will challenge for Roman Reigns’ Universal Championship at The Biggest Party of the Summer. On last night’s (August 13) episode of SmackDown, John Cena cut a promo referencing Jon Moxley and CM Punk.
Bobby Lashley will also defend his WWE Championship against Goldberg at the August 21 pay-per-view. He will come face to face with the former Universal titleholder on Monday.
Tonight, WWE hosts a Supershow live event in Charlotte, North Carolina. WWE reportedly has a “big announcement” to make at the house show.
