WWE Extreme Rules 2018 will be the third WWE pay-per-view event since WrestleMania 34 and will take place on July 15. Despite it being over three months away, it seems like the WWE Championship match for the event may have already been spoiled.

As you can see in the above tweet, a local TV advertisement has promoted a WWE Championship triple threat match between Shinsuke Nakamura, Baron Corbin, and AJ Styles, with the latter looking like he will still be the WWE Champion when Extreme Rules rolls around.
WWE Extreme Rules 2018 will take place at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and PWInsider are reporting that multiple other big names have been advertised for the event.
“Also advertised for the dual-branded Raw and SmackDown event are Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Braun Strowman, The New Day, The Miz, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Sasha Banks, Asuka, Bray Wyatt, The Usos and Matt Hardy.”
There aren’t too many surprising names in that list, but one that may be slightly surprising is the New Day. There have been rumors that WWE is planning on splitting up the New Day at the Superstar Shake-Up next week, but this could suggest otherwise.
As always with announcements and advertisements like this, cards are subject to change, and to be honest, probably will. They generally just include a tonne of big names in order to sell tickets early and this is probably a prime example of that.
It’s still worth bearing in mind though.
Would you be happy with Styles, Nakamura, and Corbin squaring off for the WWE Championship at Extreme Rules? Let us know in the comments below or on Twitter here, and as always, have a spiffing Rusev Day.
