Former World Champion’s TNA Wrestling Contract Set To Expire Soon TNA Wrestling

Top TNA Wrestling star and former IMPACT World Champion Steve Maclin could become a free agent with his contract set to expire this year.

TNA Wrestling has found themselves a lot in 2024 so far for a variety of reasons. After the company rebranded back to the “TNA” moniker, former WWE stars Nic Nemeth, Ash By Elegance and Mustafa Ali all debuted for the promotion.

Then, current TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace made a surprise appearance at WWE Royal Rumble 2024, debuting in the Women’s Rumble.

However, the company made a controversial change when they fired TNA President Scott D’Amore and replaced him with Anthony Cicione.

Now, it seems like the promotion may be about to see one of their top stars become a free agent later this year.

According to Fightful Select (subscription required), former IMPACT World Champion Steve Maclin could become a free agent as his TNA contract is currently set to expire in May.

Maclin joined the company in 2020 after being released from WWE at the start of the pandemic. He has since established himself as one of the promotion’s top stars.

Maclin defeated KUSHIDA to become the IMPACT World Champion at IMPACT Rebellion in April 2023. Last year was a career year for the former WWE stars, putting on many of the best matches in the company.

The report notes that it hasn’t been confirmed whether the two sides have had talks about a contract extension.

Steve Maclin is currently embroiled in a rivalry with former WWE star Nic Nemeth on TNA programming.

WrestleTalk will provide any further updates on Steve Maclin’s status with TNA when they become available.
