Former WWE Star Re-Signs With TNA Wrestling TNA

Former WWE star and Raw Tag Team Champion Brian Myers has re-signed with TNA Wrestling ahead of their rebrand and new era.

In 2020, Brian Myers, then known as Curt Hawkins, was released from WWE during the start of the pandemic.

Myers would soon become part of the IMPACT Wrestling roster where he has been one of the most reliable and consistent performers for the promotion.

Following his previous stint in TNA back in 2015, Myers has been more successful on this run with a reign as IMPACT Digital Media Champion and several opportunities at the IMPACT World and Tag Team Titles.

On Tuesday, December 19, TNA Wrestling announced that Brian Myers has re-signed a new deal with the company.

In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Myers discussed his decision to stay with TNA Wrestling for the start of their new era at Hard To Kill. He said:

“This is the most fun I’ve had in my entire career,”

“The past three-and-a-half years, it’s been a perfect fit. I get to be the best version of myself while being a TNA Wrestling star, so this decision was pretty easy for me.”

Myers continued on to explain how The Major Wrestling Figure Podcast with Matt Cardona and his other responsibilities had an impact on his decision, saying:

“With success of the podcast and the success of the toy business, it’s almost like we found a cheat code in pro wrestling,”

“In this business, decisions aren’t always in your hands. You’re not always doing what you want to do. So this outside endeavor is a healthy balance for us, and we get to control it. It took a long time for us to figure out, but it is an incredible source of creativity.”

IMPACT Wrestling’s name change to TNA officially goes into effect at their upcoming Hard To Kill pay-per-view on Saturday, January 13.

TNA Hard To Kill will be headlined by Alex Shelley defending the TNA Heavyweight Championship against Moose.
