It was reported yesterday that Aron Stevens (Damian Sandow) did not think he would be going to AEW. Now, another former WWE and TNA star has said he probably won’t be headed to All Elite Wrestling. That star is Ken Anderson, formerly known as Mr. Kennedy.
In a recent interview with Sportskeeda, Anderson revealed that AEW isn’t really on his radar. He mentioned he prioritizes spending time with his kids. Here is the quote:
“Yeah, maybe (laughs). You know, right now, my head’s not really there. I am enjoying what I’m doing right now—learning a new trade. I’d like to start my own, you know, contracting business at some point. So, I’m kind of learning the ropes there. But, it definitely could be fun at some point. I also don’t know what their schedule is right now. I haven’t really looked into it, but you know, I don’t think I can do a WWE full schedule. I want to be around for my kids. I want to see them as much as possible.”
Anderson spent time in WWE from 2005-2009 where he gained fame for his self-announced ring entrance. Famously unlucky with storylines, he was meant to become World Heavyweight Champion and be revealed as Vince McMahon’s illegitimate son in 2007 before injuries and other factors derailed those plans.
He went to TNA following his release from WWE in 2009. With TNA he became a TNA Heavyweight Champion and was a member of Aces and Eights.
More recently, Anderson was a member of the NWA roster, while the company has been unable to put on shows since the start of the pandemic.
