As was announced on Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live, Shinsuke Nakamura’s third match against AJ Styles for the WWE Championship will be contested under No Disqualification Rules. Adding the stipulation to the contest seems to implicate that the Backlash encounter will be the blow-off to their feud. Expect both men to bring their best in this match if that is the case.
From a storyline perspective, this stipulation greatly enhances Nakamura’s chances of capturing the title. He now has the freedom to land as many Phenomenal Ballarms as he wants. AJ ought to bring a cup if he wants to escape with his near 6-month title reign in tact.
