IYO SKY Celebrates Damage CTRL’s First Anniversary

July 30, 2022, wasn’t just the date of WWE SummerSlam, it was the day that Damage CTRL was brought into the world.

At SummerSlam in 2022, Bayley returned from a torn ACL that had kept her out of action for a year.

Not only would Bayley return, but Dakota Kai would also come back to WWE having been released in April 2022.

Finally, Io Shirai would be called up to the main roster as IYO SKY.

Collectively, the trio would form Damage CTRL with Kai and SKY becoming two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

IYO SKY has recently celebrated the team’s anniversary, sharing photos and a message on social media (all of which can be seen below).

Sky’s message on the one-year anniversary reads:

“Today is our one year anniversary.

“It has been an amazing year beyond words!!

“#DamageCTRL ❤️❤️❤️”

At WWE Money in the Bank in London, England on July 1, both Bayley and SKY were in the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.

SKY would go on to win the match, but not before Bayley attempted to stop her, resulting in SKY later handcuffing her Damage CTRL partner to Becky Lynch.

IYO SKY recently faced Charlotte Flair on WWE SmackDown, highlights of which can be seen below.
