Kenny Omega successfully retained his Impact World Championship at last night’s Slammiversary show. After Omega’s victory, Jay White made his first appearance for the promotion and confronted the champion.
Omega, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson threw up the “too sweet” gesture to White, and the show went off the air with White considering his options.
Following the cliffhanger ending, fans took to Twitter to reminisce about the two men’s previous bout at NJPW New Beginning in Sapporo in 2018, where White defeated Omega to capture the IWGP United States Championship.
Kenny responded to the tweet, stating that he isn’t denying his loss to White, but there is no need to revisit it, as it was a one time thing.
Not denying the loss or anything, but we don’t need to revisit this. It was a one time thing. That’s it. https://t.co/8VmYhen9If
