WWE has announced a high stakes Last Man Standing match for next week’s (July 2) edition of SmackDown.
At the Hell In A Cell pay-per-view, Sami Zayn scored a victory over Kevin Owens, who was carrying injuries from an attack by Apollo Crews and Commander Azeez.
On this week’s show, Sami Zayn was informed that he would face Kevin Owens again on next week’s show in a Money In The Bank qualifying match. When Zayn confronted WWE official Adam Pearce, Pearce added the Last Man Standing stipulation to the match.
Also on the show, Big E defeated Apollo Crews to earn his spot in the ladder match.
