WWE Raw Live Results – March 1, 2021

It’s Monday Night and that can only mean one thing. It’s 3 hours of wrestling programming featuring Drew McIntyre, The Miz, and Bobby Lashley. Miz defends the title tonight. Will he still be the champ at the end of the show?

Here’s the advertised card:

  • The Miz to battle Bobby Lashley for the WWE Title tonight
  • Drew McIntyre returns to Raw tonight

It’s not much to go off of, but what’s new. WWE hasn’t really been providing a lot of hype for its shows. This mostly because with Vince plans are subject to change up until the absolute last minute. Whatever happens, we’ll have it covered right here.

10:46pm

Miz vs. Lashley take 3

Miz cuts a backstage promo about how Shane should be protecting him as champion. Shane says he has to defend the title.

The match was made into a lumberjack match and Bobby Lashley wins the title. Lashley just completely destroyed The Miz. He hits the Hurt Lock and Miz is out.

Lashley wins and then locks it in again.

I have no idea why WWE chose to do this in this manner. WWE’s choices were odd on this show, but at least, we got to the right result. Lashley is the right champion.

And just like that...

RETRIBUTION has lost…again. Slapjack, T-Bar, and Mace lose to Gran Metalik, Lince Dorado, and Matt Riddle. Lucha House Party does some moves and the next thing we know, RETRIBUTION has lost.

Ali gets in the ring after the match and wants Riddle. He wants to prove to the other members that he’s for real.

Riddle looks like he’s going to win. Yet, RETRIBUTION starts to distract Riddle. Riddle loses. WWE pins another champion. They sure do love it.

10:18pm

Charlotte

Charlotte is out to the ring and wants a WrestleMania match for the Raw Championship. She shows the clip of Baszler kicking Asuka in the head and one of her teeth out.

Shayna comes out and they are fighting next. Nia and Shayna attack her before the match. Afte the commercial, Charlotte and Baszler have a fight and Charlotte wins. Charlotte overcomes both women and wins with the Natural Selection.

Charlotte is going to be the next Womens’ Champ. Backstage, Shane McMahon says if Mis doesn’t show up that they are going to strip him of the title and give it to Lashley. Before the match, Shane promised a match tonight.

Lashley vs. Miz attempt number 2

The bell rings. Miz starts trying to beg off of the match again. Miz tries to convince them to move the match to WrestleMania, but MVP isn’t having it.

The introductions take place and the match is on. The bell rings. Miz rolls out of the ring and runs away. He’s counted out and is still the WWE champion.

Lashley is beside himself. That’s it. Miz is still the champ.

Orton is fine

Kayla Braxton wants to know what happened to Randy last week when he puked up some bad coffee. He says he’s fine and doesn’t know what happened last week.

Alexis is back on the television. She’s sitting on the ground in her pentagram. She has a jack in the box.

She whispers bring him back. We see Randy Orton appear and talk on the screen. He’s talking to himself. This Orton has black eyes and forces the good Orton to cough up something. We don’t see it.

Bad Orton says the good Orton will face everything he’s ever done. Are we going to get an Orton this is your life segment?

9:32pm

A priest and a bunny walk into a ring...

Damian Priest and Bad Bunny interrupt Elias’s song and we’re getting Damian Priest vs. Elias. As good as Damian Priest is, it doesn’t seem like he’s good enough to get a great match out of Elias.

Elias jaws at Bad Bunny as we head into commercial. Damina Priest takes out Elias. We get more replays of Miz and Lashley from early in ht enight.

I think ti’s going to end up being bad decision putting Priest with Bad Bunny. WWE is clearly trying to get all the publicity Bad Bunny is bringing in. Priest could be good enough to get over without Bad Bunny.

9:26pm

The tag titles are the online

Early on, Strowman is just destroying the Usos. Strowman has just beaten both men.

He hits the running powerslam on Shelton Benjamin and has the match won. Shane hops on the apron and forces Braun to make the tag.

Adam Pearce comes in and gets rolled up. They lose. Braun is furious with Shane.

Eliase is here and he’s back with Ryker. He approaches Bad Bunny. Looks like we could be switching from Miz/Morrison to Ryker/Elias.  Elias proposes recording a single with Bad Bunny.Bunny just nods and then speaks in Spanish to Damian Priest. He had Damian Priest translate the wording. He says that’s a no. Ummm, No in Spanish is No. I think he would have got it.

9:01pm

Lashley vs. Miz

Lashley is out first. Miz’s music hits and he’s nowhere to be seen.

He’s faking a stomach bug in the back and says he can’t wrestle. Now, they act like Miz pooped himself and Adam Pearce gives him until 10 pm.

So, now it’s Braun Strowman. Strowman says the Monster Among Men sucked. He says he’s got a tag team match tonight and he doesn’t know who his partner is. The big guys isn’t happen.

Shane McMahon comes down to the ring to interrupt. Shane has a message for Bruan. He forces Adam Pearch to be his tag team partner. Pearce is surprised. Strwoman is not happy.

Although, they get a tag tile match. Strowman and Pearce are up next.

8:50pm

Nia and Naomi

This match shouldn’t be very long. They are advertising Lashley and Miz at 9 pm.

It’s over. Nia Jax dominated Naomi. She hits a Samoan Drop and a one-handed choke-slam. 3 whole minutes is what that one lasted. Ouch.

Miz and Lashley is next.

8:42pm

This match is all about big beefy brawling

Sheamus tries to lock in the Cloverleaf but Drew rolls him up for a near fall. Drew hits the Future Shock for another near fall.

We’re over about 20 minutes now. These guys look exhausted. Drew hits an avalanche White Noise. Sheamus counters with a big Alabama Slam.

These guys are going deep into each other’s playbooks. This is a good match. Sheamus goes for Brogue Kick, but Drew counters into the Claymore.

I tell you what. That match was way more entertaining than the second elimination chamber. Personally, I think I would have preferred this match at the pay-per-view and then have Lashley come out. That was good.

Naomi vs. Nia is next.

8:20pm

Okay, now it is Drew vs. Sheamus

The match starts with a brawl on the outside before the bell rings. After the commercial, these two are having a beefy brawl.

Drew does the Sheamus forearms. Sheamus hits a big Brogue Kick. This match has gone through another commercial break.

After the second commercial, Sheamus continues to work over Drew before McIntyre hulks up and starts fighting back. At one point, Drew hits an overhead belly to belly on Sheamus. Sheamus is launched into the announcer’s desk. It doesn’t break.

Later, he suplexes him on the table again. It didn’t break. That is one tough table. They could have used it during that Women’s Championship Match at NXT Vengeance Day.

We get another commercial break. This one is going long.

8:06pm

Drew vs. Sheamus

Drew McIntyre is out to start Raw. He finally gets a one on one match with Sheamus. Unfortunately for him, Drew isn’t the champion. Drew says he didn’t see it coming.

Guess he should pay more attention to those backstage segments. As Drew is about to invite Sheamus down, Miz comes out.

Miz is trying to talk up the issues between Drew and Lashley. He wants Drew to take out Lashley before his match tonight. Drew doesn’t fall for it.

MVP comes out and talks some trash. Basically, he tells Drew not to buy it. He warns Miz that he’s losing his title at 9pm tonight.

Sheamus comes down and the fight is on.
