Last week on NXT, it was reported Dakota Kai was off television due to an injury. However, according to a report from Fightful Select (subscription required), Dakota Kai is not actually injured at all.
Instead, WWE is trying to clear up her visa issues. Dakota Kai is from New Zealand and would require a work visa to appear in the United States.
The report didn’t specify exactly when she would return. However, it did say WWE expects to have her back “soon.”
When she returns she is expected to resume her UpUpDownDown duties. Dakota has been an integral part of NXT Women’s division for much of this year. Although, with the recent returns of Toni Storm and Ember Moon, it seems the women’s roster might be a bit crowded at the moment.
