The WWE/NXT Cruiserweight Championship was officially retired last night at NXT New Year’s Evil, when North American Champion Carmelo Hayes defeated Roderick Strong to unify the two championships.
Strong’s manager in Diamond Mine, Malcolm Bivens, took to Twitter today (January 5) to post an emotional, but also hilarious, farewell video to the title after his man failed to keep ahold of it last night.
Bivens videoed himself holding the championship, with ‘Every Breath You Take’ playing in the background, with clips of Strong’s title reing spliced in.
