New Segment Announced For NXT Great American Bash

A new segment, involving NXT Champion Karrion Kross, has been announced for the upcoming NXT Great American Bash special.

On Tuesday’s (July 7) special episode of NXT, Johnny Gargano and Karrion Kross will meet face-to-face. This segment was announced after Gargano attacked Kross on the June 29 episode of NXT.

Following the ringside segment, Kross choked Gargano out in the parking lot before driving away. After the show, Gargano proposed a meeting between the two, tweeting:

“Last week Kross tried to hit me with a car.. You think I was just going to let that go? I’ll be at the Great American Bash. No tricks, no games, no smoke and mirrors…”

Kross replied to  Gargano’s tweet with a video message. The NXT Champion told Gargano to leave his family at home, saying:

“Mr. Gargano, it’s time to cool off that mouth of yours. I would think of you more like the bugs that crawl in and out of dog crap than an actual physical threat to me. So here’s what we’re going to do; you leave your family at home, as will I, and you meet me at the Great American Bash. It’s that simple. Tick tock.”

Samoa Joe confirmed that he is prepared to enforce rules, tweeting:

“I believe the young Champion is correct. It is ‘simple’, and I will be at the Great American Bash (to) maintain said ‘simplicity’.”

Following the back-and-forth, NXT General Manager William Regal made the segment official, tweeting:

“Well it seems that #NXTGAB will be anything but a party… I shall see you ALL at #WWENXT this Tuesday.”

On the most recent episode of NXT, Roderick Strong returned to action, as part of the Diamond Mine faction. A recently released talent has confirmed that there were plans for him to be part of the new NXT stable.
