No matches have been announced for the show as of now, however it was announced that the NWA World Heavyweight Championship will be defended in the main event. NWA announced that the matches and details for the show will be released in the coming weeks.
The NWA World Heavyweight Championship will first be defended at the Bullet Club promoted show ALL IN on September 1 when Cody challenges current champion Nick Aldis. Cody has been chasing the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, calling it “his father’s title.” The storyline has brought attention to the championship, which has been devalued by many years of neglect from the wrestling business.

The company was purchased last year by former Impact Wrestling figurehead Billy Corgan. Since the purchase, the company has been producing its own digital content on YouTube. The new show, Ten Pounds of Gold, has been the focus of the promotion with weekly episodes with matches and storylines.
The NWA 70th Anniversary Show will take place at the Asylum at the Nashville Fairgrounds in Nashville, Tennessee on October 21.
