
The inaugural winner of the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge has been crowned on tonight’s NXT premium live event, Deadline.
The Iron Survivor Challenge match has a unique set of rules with two competitors starting in the ring, and three more entering at five-minute intervals in a 25-minute match.
Each fall scores a point and whoever has the most points at the end wins – but there’s also a 90-second penalty box for whoever loses a fall.
The order of entrances in the men’s match was as follows:
- 1 – JD McDonagh
- 2 – Axiom
- 3 – Carmelo Hayes
- 4 – Grayson Waller
- 5 – Joe Gacy
And the order of falls was:
Carmelo Hayes pinned Axiom
Grayson Waller pinned Axiom
Grayson Waller pinned JD McDonagh
Axiom pinned Grayson Waller
Axiom pinned JD McDonagh
Joe Gacy made Axiom submit
Joe Gacy pinned Carmelo Hayes
Carmelo Hayes made Grayson Waller submit
Grayson Waller pinned Axiom
The win will earn Grayson Waller a future title shot at the NXT Champion however to be determined who leaves NXT Deadline with the gold.
NXT Champion Bron Breakker will defend his title in the main event of the NXT premium live event, Deadline against Apollo Crews.
