Randy Orton Opens Up On Growth After Being ‘A D**k’ Early In His Career WWE

Following his WWE return at Survivor Series, Randy Orton has opened up on his growth after being ‘a d**k’ early in his career.

While Randy Orton is widely regarded as one of the greatest WWE stars of all time, his early career saw him getting into a lot of hot water due to his attitude towards fans and co-workers alike.

Orton has previously credited becoming a father as his moment of growth, and he’s opened up on his behaviours early in his career.

Speaking on Impaulsive, Logan Paul’s co-host Mike asked Orton if there was ever a time where he was ‘a d**k’ during his career.

Orton answered honestly, saying:

“Yes. Yeah. 100%. That was like my armor, I was an asshole I think because I wanted people to respect me, I don’t know, I just know that I grew out of that phase, and thank god that I did, but I’ve seen like footage, that I didn’t know the camera was rolling at an autograph signing and there’s an interaction with a fan and it’s picked up. Now, they’re doing this doc on A&E and it’s just finishing up and I’ve seen some of this footage from 10, 15 years ago and I’m like ‘oh my god, that’s horrible’.

“That’s just kinda who I was, it wasn’t coming from a place of confidence, it was coming from, that was my armor, I was an asshole, and maybe I would get respect that way. Maybe it was a little bit of fear, and I took it as respect, either way I was fine with it. Luckily I was given a second, third, fourth chance from Vince McMahon coming up when I would get in trouble, or I would have to get sent away for a couple months, or I’d have to get fined for a second or third time, I’m just blessed, I just had the right guys to yank my ass straight and make sure I was walking a straight line the times I did veer off.”
