Randy Orton has been one of WWE’s most consistent wrestlers for a long time. With that being said, he definitely wrestles his kind of match. He knows this and Orton has now revealed that he doesn’t think he worked well with one WWE star. That star is Bray Wyatt.
The two had a long rivalry that lasted from late 2016 until Payback 2017. Their rivalry was not well-received and it appears Orton understands that. He spoke today on the SummerSlam media call and discussed how he works best with certain types of stars. Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT provided the quote on Twitter.
Randy Orton says the story is there for he and The Fiend to cross paths.
"I think I work best with a certain type of superstar in WWE and Bray Wyatt doesn't necessarily fit that mould, but the way he tells a story makes it work."

Their prior rivalry won the Worst Feud of the Year award in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter awards. Additionally, their WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 33 won the award for Worst Match of the Year. Their rivalry relied heavily on special effects, including an early cinematic match at Payback.
He also mentioned on the call that this story would set the stage for another feud with himself and The Fiend down the road.
