Report: Ric Flair Not Attending Starrcast II Event After Surgery

TMZ Sports is reporting that WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has pulled out of his scheduled appearance on “The Roast of Ric Flair” at the Starrcast II convention over Double or Nothing weekend.

TMZ initially reported last week that Flair had been rushed to hospital in Atlanta with a medical emergency. However, a later report suggested that Flair was in the hospital for a planned medical procedure. Unfortunately, due to complications, Flair’s wife confirmed that his planned surgery had been postponed until Monday (today).

It was previously believed that Flair would be fit and healthy by Starrcast II, but with the convention starting on Thursday, the 16-time world champion’s representative confirmed that he won’t be fit enough following today’s surgery to make it. However, it should be noted that Flair is said to be in good spirits, and it is believed that he will make a full recovery soon.

Flair pulling out of the convention has not been confirmed by Starrcast II, or its organiser Conrad Thompson. WrestleTalk will provide more information when officials confirm Flair’s absence, or when a potential replacement is found.
