It has recently been reported that WWE are going to be producing shorter pay-per-view events from now on.
Throughout the pandemic era, WWE pay-per-views have varied in length significantly. According to Andrew Zarian, future WWE specials will be on the shorter side.
Speaking on the Mat Men Podcast, Zarian commented on the change, saying:
“Here’s a little tidbit, expect all WWE pay-per-views to be a bit shorter now.”
At the beginning of the no-crowd era, WWE pay-per-views were often short and sweet, with Money in the Bank 2020 clocking in at just 2 hours and 14 minutes long. This was reportedly due to earlier shows being viewed as too long.
SummerSlam 2021 takes place on August 21, in the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Manny Pacquiao is set to fight Errol Spence Jr on the same night, in the same city.
WWE reportedly plans for SummerSlam to end before the boxing card begins. Despite this, WWE still plans for The Biggest Party of the Summer to be “this year’s WrestleMania“.
