WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley continued the Judgment Day’s dominance on this week’s NXT (July 25), defeating Lyra Valkyria, however, following the match the Eradicator had an extra message to send to her opponent on social media.
Posting to Twitter, Ripley put over Valkyria’s efforts in the match, one that was far more evenly contested than some would expect, while encouraging the Irish star to prove Ripley’s expectations of her right.
Ripley tweeted:
After being challenged by Valkyria on this week’s Raw (July 24), Ripley returned to action on NXT for the first time in nine months, however, it was far from a routine win, even with North American Champion ‘Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio at her side.
Valkyria ultimately fell to the Riptide, however, had a great showing against the top star in WWE’s women’s division.
The next step for Valkyria will likely be to conclude her ongoing rivalry with Jacy Jayne and with Ripley’s words of encouragement, the future could be bright for her in NXT and beyond.
Ripley’s admiration for Valkyria was no secret even before the match, with a recent video posted on WWE’s Twitter seeing Ripley name the 26-year-old first in her dream NXT WarGames team.
Once again, it was another eventful night for the Judgment Day on NXT, and that looks to not be changing soon as Dominik Mysterio was announced for a match at the upcoming Great American Bash Premium Live Event this Sunday, July 30 – click here to find out details.
@Real_Valkyria you’re tough. Now finish the job. Prove me RIGHT! 🪶#WWENXT
