World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins has now reacted to the anniversary of the WWE debut of The Shield.
On November 18, 2012, Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley) made their main roster debuts, attacking Ryback during the WWE Championship threeway bout at Survivor Series 2012.
All three stars have experienced drastic rises in popularity over the past 11 years, with Rollins and Reigns currently holding WWE’s top titles, and Jon Moxley carving his own path in AEW and NJPW.
11 years after The Shield’s main roster debut, Rollins has now taken to Twitter to repost a message he shared in early 2013 about the group.
Rollins had previously written:
We are the forever engine. The fire you can’t put out. The grinding gears.
The living, breathing machine of hope. We are The Shield.
Rollins, Reigns and Moxley last wrestled as a trio in April 2019, defeating Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley & Drew McIntyre at The Shield’s Final Chapter event, ahead of Moxley’s WWE contract expiring.
Rollins is set to make a major Hollywood appearance, starring in the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World movie.
This MCU film was recently given a new release date following the Hollywood strikes, click here to find out more.
