The ‘Knockout Artist’ KO’s Indie Promotion!

The ‘Knockout Artist’ KO’s Indie Promotion!

If you’re excited about seeing Kassius Ohno compete at a Primetime Championship Wrestling event on August 17, then subdue that mirth. The NXT star has been falsely booked for the event by someone within the company.

Initially scheduled to battle the ‘Beast’ Bubba Boorow in Huntsville, Alabama, the ‘Knockout Artist’ hastily took to Twitter to clear up the confusion but found himself accused of being a fake. After much confusion and some sheer cheek on the part of said company, the post advertising him was removed. However, Ohno’s own tweet shows the advert in all of its glory.

Should this not be a mistake, then it is a clear case of a small-time indie outfit attempting to draw attention to themselves; a mere publicity stunt to sell more tickets and, if it works, then it will have been worth it.

Floundering in NXT’s mid-card, Kassius has recently been trying out a new, more serious character on NXT live events which one would expect to see on NXT television following TakeOver: Brooklyn IV.

Give us your thoughts on Kassius Ohno, where he fits into the NXT plan, if you believe he should be called up to the main roster, and whether you believe he’ll ever be NXT Champion. You can talk to us on Twitter and Discord now.
