Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has not appeared on WWE television since his loss to Gunther in the Intercontinental Championship Triple Threat match at WrestleMania 39.
Since WrestleMania, Drew has been a part of a contract saga with the company, with his contract set to expire in early 2024, and the two sides have not yet reached an agreement.
Despite not appearing on television since WrestleMania, McIntyre was drafted to the Raw brand as a part of the 2023 WWE Draft.
In the most recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that McIntyre’s return is basically all down to any potential creative issues, but fans are getting excited that Drew could be back on our screens as early as tomorrow night.
On tomorrow night’s show, Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are set to team up with a mystery partner to face Imperium in a six-man tag team match.
Today, WWE tweeted out a preview for the match, asking fans who they should pick as their partner, which was retweeted and very quickly unretweeted by a certain someone.
It’s important to note that McIntyre has not tweeted at all since WrestleMania, and has blacked out his profile on the platform, so him re-emerging on the app is very interesting timing.
While obviously nothing has been confirmed, this has certainly got a lot of people speculating about McIntyre being the partner for Owens and Zayn tomorrow night.
