At tonight’s SmackDown taping, two more matches were taped for the brand new show, WWE Speed, set to air exclusively on Twitter.
In an innovative partnership, the company had previously announced WWE Speed during the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff event.
Set to air matches that are five minutes or less, the matches will be broadcast exclusively on X (formerly known as Twitter).
While there have already been matches filmed with the Speed graphics, there were two more filmed tonight.
Interestingly, one appeared to be a repeat with Odyssey Jones taking on Cedric Alexander again, with the pair recently having another singles match demarcated for WWE Speed on February 16.
Also, Tyler Bate faced off against Angel in a match that also appeared to be set for Speed.
Other matches that have seemingly been filmed for the series as yet to air, Dragon Lee defeating Cedric Alexander, and Odyssey Jones defeating Cameron Grimes.
WWE’s deal with X for Speed is believed to be a two-year deal with exclusive content for 52 weeks each year.
While there’s no date currently confirmed for its debut, it was reported to be debuting this spring.
Elsewhere on tonight’s episode of SmackDown, Santos Escobar defeated Rey Mysterio after a distraction interference from Dominik Mysterio while both the LWO and Legado del Fantasma were banned from ringside.
