We have an update on the possible capacity for the WWE WrestleMania 37 event which is currently scheduled for March 28, 2021.
The show is now set to be at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, which was going to be the home of WrestleMania 36 this year until the COVID-19 pandemic struck.
The 2021 Super Bowl will also take place in Raymond James Stadium and is scheduled for February 7. NFL insider Adam Schefter is reporting that the NFL is planning for fans to fill 20% of the stadium’s capacity.
With a capacity of 65,618, that would mean around 13-15,000 people in attendance. It’s also noted that fans will be in ‘pods’ six feet apart and and will be required to wear masks.
Now we know that Florida govenor Ron DeSantis has confirmed that full capacity events are allowed, so it’s really just a question of how safe WWE wants to be. It’s possible that they could take the NFL’s stance and still have plenty of fans but not fill the stadium up, even though they are technically allowed to.
Of course, given the fluid nature of the situation and how everything is changing right now, this is all day-by-day stuff. Be sure to stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com and we will keep you updated.
