There’s a new update on what WWE plans to do when the contract with the ThunderDome contract with the Amway Center in Orlando expires.
The deal runs out on October 31, so WWE will have to either sign a new deal to remain there or move elsewhere after that date.
As per WrestleVotes, the company has actually assembled a team to figure out what to do, and the current preference seems to be to move to Southern states with good weather in outdoor arenas, which would mean an increased chance of allowing fans to be present in person.
The tweet was as follows:
Over the past week or so, WWE assembled a small team to figure out if running TV from outdoors venues would be fesisble once the ThunderDome contract expires. Idea is both SD & RAW would be in same location each week. Southern states with good weather is the preference. All TBD.
As noted, because of the fluid ever-changing situation regarding COVID-19 and its regulations, nothing concrete is in place quite yet.
We’ll keep you up to date with any further news and developments.
