WWE Champion Calls Dominik Mysterio ‘Future Of The Business’ WWE

A top WWE Champion has called Dirty Dominik Mysterio the ‘future of the business’ in his opinion.

According to Finn Balor, Dirty Dom isn’t just a member of his stable the Judgment Day, he is also the future of the business.

Speaking to the Ringer Wrestling Show, Finn Balor expanded on what makes Dominik Mysterio so exceptional.

While he did get a warm greeting from the others in the locker room given the social capital associated with his Father, Rey Mysterio, Balor says that Dominik has struck out on his own to become his own man within the company.

Balor said:

“I feel like he was given kind of a warm reception when he came in because he was the son of Hall of Famer, son of Rey Mysterio. He was kind of like accepted because he was the blood of Rey Mysterio. It was like ‘Ah we appreciate you’re doing this for us. Because we love your dad so much, we’re gonna cheer for you too.’

“Once he stepped out from under that tree and started fending for himself, he’s just been a completely different animal. Not only the growth he’s shown, outside of the ring and on his promos and his character work, but his growth inside of the ring has been absolutely monumental for someone who has had very little training, no NXT experience pretty much. Most of his training has been done on the job, on live TV. This kid is the future of the business, in my opinion.”

While Dirty Dom didn’t go through any significant NXT runs prior to joining the main roster, he is now embroiled in feuds on the third brand.

Dominik Mysterio remains the NXT North American Champion, next set to face Mustafa Ali at NXT No Mercy 2023 for the title.

As for the rest of Judgment Day, after WWE Payback, the group continues to ride high with every member now a champion.

Rhea Ripley remains the WWE Women’s World Champion after defending the title against Raquel Rodriguez, and Finn Balor and Damian Priest were able to beat Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens to become the new WWE Undisputed Tag Team Champions at the premium live event.
