WWE Champion Seth Rollins Sends Cody Rhodes Another Message

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins has shared yet another message to Cody Rhodes focused on swaying a big upcoming decision.

With the Road to WrestleMania 40 having begun at the recent Royal Rumble PLE, Cody Rhodes earned the right to choose his own fate.

Winning the Men’s Royal Rumble match, last eliminating CM Punk, Cody Rhodes picked up his second straight Rumble win and made history.

Rhodes joined a short list of notable stars before who achieved the feat of winning back-to-back Royal Rumble matches: Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

With the win comes the ability to choose which title he plans on challenging for at the upcoming extravaganza and while on the night of the Rumble, Cody clearly called out Roman Reigns, another champion has emerged.

Seth Rollins continues to goad Rhodes, attempting to plead his case as to why Cody Rhodes should elect to face Rollins at WrestleMania 40 for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

In the past, Cody Rhodes has been clear about the specific sentimental reason why the idea of ‘Finishing the Story’ is intrinsically connected to the WWE Championship (currently held by Roman Reigns).

However, Rollins is not to be deterred by past declarations and has been on a psychological campaign since the Royal Rumble to get Cody to choose him.

Starting with a passionate in-ring promo on WWE Raw, Seth has since shared the same video package of the aforementioned promo to Cody Rhodes on social media multiple times.

In his latest message, Rollins wrote the following caption to accompany the video:

“While the old guard crumbles, we have the chance to usher in a new era.

“You’ve built your empire by blazing trails..why stop now?

“@CodyRhodes”

Seth Rollins was heavily rumored to be previously planned to face CM Punk at WrestleMania 40, leaving his future opponent as to be determined.
