WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker says Sting’s retirement at AEW Revolution has “ruined” him coming back for one more match.
One of professional wrestling’s greatest dream matches that never came to be is Sting vs. The Undertaker.
Despite WWE not pulling the trigger on the two legends clashing when Sting debuted in 2014, fans still think about the missed opportunity to this day.
At AEW Revolution, Sting and Darby Allin defeated The Young Bucks to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championships in what was Sting’s Last Match.
During a recent Q&A session on the Six Feet Under Patreon, The Undertaker commented on Sting’s retirement. On Sting’s retirement giving him no reason to return to the ring, he said:
“Well, I mean, if Sting hadn’t retired, maybe. He ruined the whole thing. I got new knees and he went and had to go and retire… Oh my gosh, we’re going to get so much heat for that.”
Taker had his own retirement match when he defeated AJ Styles in the Boneyard Match at WWE WrestleMania 36.
