On the July 3 episode of WWE Raw, Katana Chance recovered from a botched move in style during the WWE Women’s Tag Team Turmoil Match.
The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Number 1 Contender’s Turmoil Match, to give the match its full name, saw Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell, Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville, Dana Brooke & Tegan Nox, Emma & Nikki Cross and Katana Chance & Kayden Carter face each other with the winner becoming number 1 contender for the championship held by Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan.
The match would see Green & Deville victorious, finally eliminating Chance & Carter for the victory after eliminating every other team as well.
A moment was captured on social media that saw Chance and Carter go for a double-team move only for Chance to slip on the bottom rope.
Chance recovers from the botch and still landed a moonsault from the bottom rope, which can be seen below this news story.
Instead of receiving criticism for the slip, Chance was largely praised on social media for how well she recovered, including a fan tagging her and tweeting:
“Damn, it happens to the best… keep it pushing @Katana_WWE you’re doing great.”
Chance would take the time to respond to this message with a motivational message of her own, writing:
“Ya just gotta keep going 🤷🏻♀️”
This brought out a wave of renewed support for the star, with some noting that a moonsault from the bottom rope was a pretty classy move in its own right.
