It had been previously reported that the WWE Draft was being planned for this fall. Of course, plans often change in WWE so nothing is official until it gets announced. Well, now it is official.
During the Clash of Champions pay per view, the next WWE Draft was officially announced. It will take place over two days, beginning on the October 9 SmackDown and concluding on the October 12 Raw.
The future is on the clock.

It remains to be seen what moves will be made but this should allow WWE to freshen up their rosters. Many people have pointed to the tag divisions of Raw and SmackDown being incredibly weak right now. While moving teams around wouldn’t help the matter of the quantity of teams, it will mean we won’t have to watch the Street Profits keep facing Andrade and Angel Garza.
Another matter that may or may not be addressed will be if NXT stars will be drafted to the main roster. People like Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa and Undisputed Era have been in NXT for years at this point and each roster could certainly use that level of talent.
We will bring you updates on the event as they become available.
