WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Paige has said that she will bring back her old PTO submission finisher ‘soon’.

After being medically disqualified from competing back in 2018, Paige retired from in-ring competition on the Raw after WrestleMania 34, with her later becoming the SmackDown General Manager.

After leaving WWE and joining AEW, Paige was then cleared to compete once again, returning to the ring against Britt Baker at AEW Full Gear in 2022, before leaving the company last year when her contract expired.

Paige made her return to WWE back at WrestleMania 42 as the replacement tag team partner for Brie Bella after Nikki Bella’s injury, with her and Brie capturing the Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Since her return, Paige and Brie have wrestled a number of matches on SmackDown and started a new rivalry with the Judgment Day on Raw, but one thing has been missing from Paige’s moveset since her return.

More Women’s Stars Joining WWE Main Roster?

Following the recent WWE releases that took place on April 24, a number of women’s stars were released from the company, with the divisions on both Raw and SmackDown now rather thin.

The call ups of Blake Monroe, Sol Ruca and Fatal Influence have helped fill the gaps, but there remains a much smaller number of women’s stars on Raw and SmackDown than feasibly needed for a thriving division.

While names in NXT such as Lola Vice, Tatum Paxley and Kelani Jordan may soon make their way up to the main roster, it by in large won’t matter how many women are added to the divisions so long as the company continues to give the division much less of a focus than the men’s roster.

Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan has yet to defend her championship since winning it back at WrestleMania 42, and has competed in one match since WrestleMania, defeating Sol Ruca on the Raw after WrestleMania.
