WWE SmackDown Live Preview, June 19, 2018 – WrestleTalk

Now that Shinsuke Nakamura is probably going to be taking some time off to spend some time with what’s left of his testicles, it’s time for AJ to have someone new to feud with.

But Who? Who? Who? will it be?

Thankfully, that will be answered this evening, as a very exciting gauntlet match has been booked for SmackDown tonight.

Samoa Joe, The Miz, Daniel Bryan, Rusev and Big E will all battle to become the number one contender and for a match with Styles at Extreme Rules.

If given plenty of time, this match should be absolutely brilliant. How could it not be when you look at who’s in it.

If I had to make a prediction, I think Samoa Joe is probably the favourite for this, as he seems to be the guy that WWE are pushing most. He certainly had the best showing in the Money in the Bank ladder match.

And that’s not the end of the excitement, because at long last, only 18 years after they were advertised as “coming soon”, SAniTy are finally debuting on SmackDown Live.

Although this is not the way to debut them. They should interrupt a match, because that’s just what they do, it’s nice to see that they haven’t been completely forgotten.

They’ll square off against the Usos, and you would hope that they’ll pick up a comfortable win.

SmackDown Live has a whole host of incredible tag teams now, so there’s really no excuse for the lack of interest in the tag title scene.

As the gauntlet match is likely to take up most of the show, there’s not all that much more to think about for this evening, but I for one am very excited to see what’s in store.

The Rest

  • Becky Lynch is booked in a match with Billie Kaye. Becky has to win after her solid performance at Money in the Bank.
  • Will we find out who is next to face Jeff Hardy for his US Title?
  • Carmella is set to have another Mella-bration…eugh.

Who do you think should win the gauntlet match? Let us know in the comments and on Twitter here.
