WWE SmackDown Viewership For Christmas Eve Episode Revealed

The viewership figures for the December 24 Christmas Eve edition of WWE SmackDown have been revealed.

As per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, Friday’s episode drew an average of 1.972 million viewers. This is down from the  2.213 million viewers who tuned in on December 17.

In the 18-49 demographic, last week’s show scored a 0.48 rating, which was roughly 630,000 demo viewers. She show ranked #6 for the day in the demo. For comparison, the previous week’s show scored a 0.50 rating in the same demo.

On the show, which had been taped after the previous week’s episode, Sami Zayn won the 12 Days of Christmas Gauntlet match to become #1 contender to the Intercontinental Championship. Zayn will challenge Shinsuke Nakamura for the gold at WWE Day 1 on Saturday.

Also on the show, Charlotte Flair successfully defended her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Toni Storm.
