WWE Stars ‘Loyal’ To Triple H Over Vince McMahon WWE

WWE stars were reportedly ‘loyal’ to Paul Levesque (Triple H) while Vince McMahon was making late changes to the television product.

This comes in the wake of reports Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel has removed McMahon from the creative team, and given Levesque full control.

Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer has revealed the impact that McMahon’s involvement had on WWE creative, stating:

“From those with knowledge of the creative situation, prior to the merger going through and McMahon taking a medical leave, he was making changes in the shows, particularly Raw, fairly regularly.

“At times they were viewed as positive and at times they were not. But they did get in the way of the long-term vision long-term of the creative team.

“Much of the talent, certainly most of whom we’ve heard from, felt it was better when McMahon wasn’t involved and were loyal to Levesque.”

It has recently been reported that Paul Levesque has “99.9%” control over what happens with WWE creative.

The belief is that McMahon will focus on other areas such as media rights deals.

Elsewhere in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Meltzer also reports:

“One person close to the situation said that Emanuel has a vision for how he can use the worldwide notoriety of McMahon, and that vision doesn’t include him micro-managing the weekly television shows.”
