Former Friends Exchange Bitter Words Ahead Of WWE Grudge Match

Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes are set to face each other at NXT Stand & Deliver and have exchanged bitter words on social media.

The pair’s friendship came crashing to an end at NXT Vengeance Day in February 2024 when Hayes attacked Williams with a steel chair.

On the March 12, 2024, episode of WWE NXT, Williams demanded a match against Hayes, as can be seen below.

With the April 6 NXT Stand & Deliver match made official, Williams tweeted:

“Bring yo step stool @Carmelo_WWE. This a grown man battle.

“We will handle this after I take care of metafour this Tuesday 🤟🏾”

Hayes would waste little time in responding to his former friend, tweeting:

“If I stood on my accomplishments you’d be tellin me what color my shoe laces are. Don’t let ya hype fool you. 🤟🏾”

Elsewhere in NXT, Williams is making moves of his own, kissing Lash Legend, much to the dismay of her Meta Four stablemates.

Williams is a former NXT North American Champion with Hayes having held that title twice and the NXT Championship.

Hayes was also the last NXT Cruiserweight Champion with that title being unified with the North American Championship at NXT 2.0 New Year’s Evil in January 2022.
