WWE Chief Content Officer ‘Triple H’ Paul Levesque kicked off tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown taking shots at The Rock on live TV.
After an ovation from the Charlotte, North Carolina crowd on hand for WWE SmackDown, Triple H – specifically referred to by his real name – took to the microphone.
Dropping numerous references to The Rock, Triple H would go on to assure the WWE fans that there was ‘only one’ person with the answers about what will be going on at WrestleMania 40.
And according to Triple H, it is him! He also had Raw GM Adam Peace and SmackDown GM Nick Aldis with him who assured everyone that WWE management is a “united front”.
This was all in reference to the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff event, where it was mentioned that The Rock may be able to overrule Triple H due to his position on the TKO Board.
HHH was sure to mention that any others who thought they had power that according to him actually don’t, they should ‘know their role’. He also said “it doesn’t matter what you think” to anyone who doesn’t agree with him making Cody Rhodes vs Roman Reigns official for WrestleMania.
You can watch Triple H’s stern comments below as it seems that the Chief Content Officer wasn’t pleased by the events of the WrestleMania 40 kickoff event in Las Vegas last night (February 8).
Elsewhere in the segment, Nick Aldis would announce that Seth Rollins’ challenger for WrestleMania 40 would be determined by the Elimination Chamber match at the premium live event by the same name.
Adam Pearce would go on to announce there would be six qualifying matches between some of WWE’s biggest starts to determine who would enter the Elimination Chamber match – the first of which saw Drew McIntyre beat AJ Styles.
