Former WWE tag champion Joey Mercury was arrested on Saturday morning in Schaumburg, Illinois, on an outstanding warrant in Florida. He was sleeping in his car outside the Marriott Hotel when officers seized him.
Mercury, real name Adam Birch, is being held on a $2,500 bail at the Cook County Department of Corrections. He is expected to be sent back to Florida following his court date.
Last month, Mercury signed for ROH as trainer and producer. At the time of his arrest he was meant to work as a producer on All In but had to be substituted once his participation became impossible.
WrestleTalk will keep you updated on this situation as it transpires.
WrestleTalk would like to hear your views on this matter. Do you think All In would have been better with him behind the scenes? Do you think this hinders his ROH employment? And what were your thoughts of him as a talent in WWE? You can contact us on Twitter and Discord today.
