Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you may have missed that Liv Morgan was knocked out during Monday’s episode of Raw, after a Brie Bella botched kick that caught Morgan square in the face…twice.
Liv was treated at ringside by WWE doctors, and had to be helped to the back by Riott Squad teammates Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan.
It has now been revealed that Morgan suffered a concussion as a result of the kick. WWE released the following statement regarding the injury.
“Liv Morgan has a concussion and is going through the proper protocol under WWE’s comprehensive wellness program.”
Now that this has been confirmed, it is unknown whether Liv will be cleared in time to wrestle at Super ShowDown on October 6 in the 6-woman tag match between Ronda Rousey, the Bellas and the Riott Squad.
Brie has been slated across social media for the botch, and our sources tell us there is backstage heat between the Brie and both Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan. This was not helped by a botched forearm by Nikki Bella later on in the match that caught Ruby Riott stiff in the face.
We are not in the business of apportioning blame here, but maybe it’s time WWE spotted a trend.
We wish Liv a very speedy recovery and hope to see her back in the ring as soon as possible.
