Kenny Omega had his first match back after losing his IWGP Heavyweight Championship at Wrestle Kingdom 13 to Hiroshi Tanahashi. Omega wrestled for Premiere Championship Wrestling at the beginning of his career and returned to the Winnipeg-based promotion for their 17th anniversary special show. He even wore the same gear he donned at the beginning of his career.
Kenny Omega would end up losing the tag team match after being pinned by former friend Don Callis. Don bested Omega after hitting a Codebreaker, the finishing move of Omega’s ‘Double or Nothing’ opponent, Chris Jericho. Callis turned on the AEW signee at a PCW show in October.

Callis works as a commentator for NJPW and Impact wrestling and is also Impact’s Co-Executive Vice President. This match would mark Callis’ first for 15 years since retiring.
