NXT Takeover: New York last night was an extremely enjoyable show. That is unless you are a member of the Undisputed Era. Adam Cole, the faction’s leader, was unsuccessful in his two out of three falls match with Johnny Gargano for the NXT Championship, and it appears that WWE has planted the seeds for break-up angle for the group.

After losing in the main event, WWE shared a backstage exclusive to their Twitter account where Adam Cole was clearly frustrated with stablemate Roderick Strong over his involvement in the bout.
Last night saw the end of the Gargano-Ciampa story with Tommaso coming out to celebrate with Johnny “Takeover” as he ascended to the top of the NXT mountain. Some have suggested that as this story ended, NXT were already thinking about their next break-up angle, with Strong and Cole a clear possibility.
Rumours of a change to the dynamic of the Undisputed Era are not new, as it was reported just a few weeks ago that the group could be getting a new member after WrestleMania in Roderick Strong’s real-life wife, Marina Shafir.
WrestleTalk provided live coverage for last night’s NXT Takeover: New York event where Johnny Gargano became the first NXT Triple Crown Champion in the brand’s history and Aleister Black and Ricochet were bested by the War Raiders ahead of their Smackdown Tag Team Championship match at WrestleMania.
