The incredible gate that WWE generated from their recent live event at London’s O2 Arena has been revealed.
WWE’s tour of the United Kingdom recently saw them head to London’s O2 Arena for an untelevised live event on Friday, April 19.
However, despite being a live event, the show was sold out, with over 16,000 ticket sales for the show.
Per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the show generated $1,197,822 from 16,342 ticket sales, with the average ticket costing $73.
WWE aired an interview with Cody Rhodes from the live event on that night’s SmackDown, where he reacted to his upcoming WWE Championship defence against AJ Styles.
WWE has again returned to Europe this week, with numerous live events across the continent ahead of WWE Backlash in France this Saturday.
WWE is set to return to the United Kingdom in June, when Clash at the Castle takes place in the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland.
The WWE house show in London at the O2 on Friday, Apr. 19 drew $1,197,822 USD from 16,342 ticket sales, according to new Pollstar data. Average ticket, $73 USD.
