Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has reported that WWE superstar Lio Rush will be making his return. He revealed the information via Twitter.
Lio Rush supposed to return

The tweet comes less than an hour before NXT makes its debut on the USA Network in America. It was reported months ago that Lio Rush could be returning to NXT following his stint on the main roster.
Rush has not competed for WWE since March 18th. On that edition of Raw, he and Bobby Lashley lost to Braun Strowman and Finn Balor. Rush and Lashley had been in the midst of a program where Rush was serving as Lashley’s hype man.
It was reported that Rush was pulled from television due to backstage heat that he had developed. His name had been in the news frequently, discussing matters such as how he thought he should be paid $500,000 per year.
While Rush is not a huge name, WWE could attempt to surprise fans by having Rush return on this episode of NXT. With NXT debuting on a new network, WWE will be looking for every way to generate news as we head towards the debut of AEW on TNT.
