WWE has signed indie star Jake Atlas to a developmental contract, according to Last Word on Pro Wrestling.
The report details that Atlas was approached by WWE officials at PWG Battle of Los Angeles last month, and issued him a contract.
However, another report, from SoCalUncensored, suggests that while he has signed with WWE, those exact details aren’t true.
He is set to report to the Performance Center in January, and was given a Brand Ambassador contract after he appeared on an Undercover Boss episode with Stephanie McMahon.
Atlas is also said to have rejected an ROH contract, and AEW had made contact although no official contract was offered.
He was spotted backstage at the WWE Friday Night SmackDown FOX premiere earlier this month.
Jake Atlas attended a WWE tryout last December, and is the current PCW ULTRA Light Heavyweight Champion and the current APW Universal Heavyweight Champion.
