Former Impact Wrestling World Champion Brian Cage reportedly very nearly appeared at All Elite Wrestling’s first-ever show, Double or Nothing, back in May.
Cage was even backstage at the event, but reports emerged suggesting that Impact Wrestling prevented Cage from appearing as they didn’t want their top champion wrestling and losing in a match for another promotion.
Despite this, Brian Cage shared an image of he and Kenny Omega going face-to-face, teasing fans with the prospect of a match between the two.
Taking to Twitter, Cage asked fans who they think would win in a match between Cage and the AEW star.
Who you got? Where do you want to see it? Why and how soon? pic.twitter.com/ia59pKAg0C

It was actually reported last year that Kenny Omega nearly joined Impact Wrestling along with Chris Jericho, meaning we could have got to see this match there. However, Omega joined AEW as one of the new promotion’s Executive Vice Presidents.
There is no word on when Brian Cage’s Impact contract expires, but you have to think AEW would want to bring him in when it does.
