The rivalry between the Four Horsewomen of NXT and the Four Horsewomen of MMA has been quietly happening for years. Now, Shayna Baszler has taken another shot at her NXT counterparts.
This began when Alexa Bliss was asked why her cash-in was not included in WWE’s top ten Money in the Bank moments. Bliss responded on Twitter:
Good question https://t.co/xx4SPjylMu

Bliss followed up the responses to her initial tweet by insinuating that she isn’t promoted because she isn’t one of the Four Horsewomen of NXT. These being Charlotte, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, and Bayley.
But I’m not a 4HW 🤷🏼♀️ https://t.co/VfQCvVwHAa

This is where Shayna Baszler came into the picture. After Bliss mentioned she isn’t one of the Four Horsewomen, Baszler commented that neither are the rest of them. This of course inferring that her group of MMA fighters is the one true group of Four Horsewomen.
Neither are any of them. #authentic #original #4HW https://t.co/fnM2pYxIuo

Baszler’s group is comprised of herself, Ronda Rousey, Marina Shafir, and Jessamyn Duke. Rumours of an eight-woman tag team match between the two factions have swirled for years but they have yet to result in anything materializing.
This could be due to Shafir and Duke’s slow development in NXT or simply because the timing has never been right.
